Background information

Amref Health Africa in Kenya is the non-state Principal Recipient (PR) for the 2021 to 2024 Global Fund (GF) Tuberculosis (TB) grant. In consultation with Kenya Coordinating Mechanism (KCM) and Ministry of Health, Amref Health Africa in Kenya is requesting for proposals from eligible organizations that will be sub-granted to implement priority Public-Private Mix (PPM) interventions to find the missing people with TB in 19 counties.

Target counties

Cluster 1: Kericho, Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Bomet, Homa Bay, Kisumu, Siaya, Migori, Kisii and Nakuru Cluster 2: Kilifi, Mombasa, Nairobi, Kiambu, Murang’a, Machakos, Meru, Makueni and Kitui

Eligible organizations

Eligible organizations include NGOs and other CSOs that are non-profit organizations and operate independently from the state and from the private for-profit sector. These include international, national and local NGOs, community-based organizations (CBOs), faith-based organizations (FBOs) and professional associations.

Scope of work

The successful applicant will be required to support implementation of PPM activities in ail counties allocated to their preferred cluster. Cluster 1 is comprised of ten counties and cluster 2, nine counties as outlined above. Potential applicants are required to submit an application for only one cluster. Details on the key activities to be supported are available in the application form on the Amref Health Africa website.

Submission guidelines

All applications should be enclosed in a plain envelop marked “RFP: GLOBAL FUND TB 2021-2024 GRANT - PPM” and deposited in the tender box at Amref Health Africa, Kenya Country Office, next to the main reception so as to be received on or before Thursday 22nd July. 2021. at/or before 12:00 noon East African time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late applications will be rejected. Applications will also be opened on Thursday 22nd July. 2021 at 12:00 noon East African time immediately thereafter, in the presence of the candidates, representatives or applicants who choose to attend at Amref Health Africa offices.
