TENDER NOTICE

TENDER FOR PROVISION & INSTALLATION OF SOLAR AT 12 REHABILITATED WATER POINTS IN WAJIR AND GARISSA COUNTY

1.     General Background

2.     Project Background

Save the Children is currently in the process of rehabilitating 16 water points in Garissa and Wajir Counties. The purpose of this Expression of Interest is to request qualified Companies, Contractors and Technicians (Plumbers, masons, electricians) to submit EOI for provision and installation of solar in rehabilitated water points in Garissa and Wajir.

3.     Project Scope

The proposed project components comprise of provision and installation of solar at 12 rehabilitated water points in -Barmil, Baragothey, Gubad Onle, Tito, Qudama, Eldas Town, Masalaale in Wajir County; and Kone, Dalolo, Nanigi, AN Emij, Bodhaie in Garissa County. The works shall involve supply of materials and installation.

Requirements

Save the Children in Kenya therefore invites bids request from eligible companies for supply and installation of Solar Water supply systems at 12 water points and the minimum eligibility requirement comprises of;

4.     Solar Installations

a.      Company profile - should show works carried out previously -Attach profile

b.      Company registration certificate- Attach

c.      Minimum National Construction Authority (NCA-7) certification for Electrical works

d.      Energy Regulatory Authority/EPRA Certification- Attach

e.      Manufacturers authorization of the different equipment - attach ISO Certification.

f.        Experience and Technical capacity, qualifications of key staff - Attach list of similar works done, key staff such as engineers.

g.      Letter of recommendation from Humanitarian Organizations or public institutions shall be of added advantage- Attach

h.      Pre award and post award secondary vetting by local vetting board (Save the Children committee and any other body agreed upon will carry out, accountability and due diligence which may include community validation exercise)

i.         Valid Tax Compliance Certificate

j.         Attach copy of CR12 for companies

5.     Obtaining Bidding documents

Interested technicians should request for the detailed Scope of work by writing to the following email address; [email protected]

Or collect'hard copies at Save the Children offices in Nairobi, Garissa or Wajir between 5th- 20th July, 2021. The documents are free of charge.

Those who will have expressed interest in collecting bid documents by 9th July 2021 will have a pre-submission clarification meeting is schedule on 12th July, 2021 at 11 am at our offices in Wajir and Garissa, or Nairobi.

6.       Submission of bids      

Completed tender documents enclosed in plain sealed envelopes must be delivered and deposited in the Tender box located at Save the Children Offices in Wajir or Nairobi.

So as to be received on or before 26^th July, 2021, at 4.00 pm.

The Te'nders should be clearly marked:
